Vaun

Let me introduce myself and tell you why of all the other women who can teach this course few have the experience and credentials to give you many of the answers that you have been waiting to be revealed.  I have just passed my fiftieth year in the beauty business.  I have owned and operated five salons, a clothing store, and a restaurant and bar along with being a recording star, comic, M.C., and even an auctioneer.  I have been a Senior Director with Mary Kay for over a decade and have taught thousands of women how to take what God gave them, and with a little touch here and another touch there, they glow, and their confidence grows.  I will feature products from Mary Kay, but you can use any product you like, it is the technique that matters.

The biggest surprise I learned teaching skincare and makeup application was that many women do not wear makeup.  And it is not that they don’t want to, they have never learned how, and it seems so intimidating at first.  Especially if you have never used any makeup.

I also want to talk about today’s fashion, especially if you are over fifty.  As a fashion director for Midnight Moods, my clothing store, I have been able to travel to some of the top cities.  Montreal is a cosmopolitan as any city in the world.  I was shocked at first that every woman, no matter what size, accenting their curves.  Jackets did not look like boxes, something I saw so often at home. They belted their waist, even when their waist and bust were the same size.

When you take this journey with me, you will have a better understanding of the physical you.  What is on the outside.  However, what is happening on the inside should be honored, and your look should reflect who you believe yourself to be.  There are sparklers; I call them socializers. Some women want to be taken seriously; I call these women Directors. There are women who put others before themselves, and they feel a change might upset their family, and I call them Relators.

And last, but not least, there are the Thinkers, and that should say it all.  They need time to think before they act, and they want as much information as possible before they make a change. When they finally find something they want, and it looks great, they go home and mull it over; these are the Thinkers.  All, of these Personalities, a Socializer, Director, Relator, and Thinker, are women of every age.  In today’s world of social media, we are bombarded with women who look so perfect that we feel we can never look like them.  Well, let me tell you.  It is makeup, accessories, and clothes that experts have spent hours creating perfection, and after they have done a photoshoot, that is also when the magic begins.  They can make any woman look like a movie star, and that includes you.

However, I am going to presume you are a practical woman that wants to look her best, but spending hours on your makeup and hair, along with making sure you have the most up to date wardrobe, is overwhelming and taking the time seems like a waste of time.  Not so.  When I am finished, you will have a few tools that take only a few minutes to be the best you.  You will have picked a haircut that suits your life, and as you buy a few things for your wardrobe, the information will help you to dress for 2020 and beyond.

Now, improving the outside is fun and will make you feel like you can do anything.  But a woman without a vision and something to drive her passion will never reach the true spark of beauty.  Because what you think and believe will show on your face. A woman who knows where she is going and feels connected to the universe always has an aura of beauty.
